Like the great FC Barcelona, Crossworld aspires to be more than a football club. As one of the Crossworld players has said, Crossworld is ‘a second family’ to the young people who take part in our projects. Like any family, we want to make sure that we provide all the support and help that we can to the other members of the Crossworld family.
One of the ways we do this is through what we call the ‘next step’ programme. This is an ongoing mentoring and support programme, whereby Crossworld coaches make themselves available to provide advice and support to Crossworld participants in whatever the ‘next step’ in their life might be.
This ‘next step’ could be registering with a GP, accessing a service, or negotiating a key point in the immigration process. It could also be related to a young person’s educational and professional ambition, and may involve support in writing a CV or applying for job, or helping the young person to secure a work experience placement.
Crossworld is registered charity no. 1141543.
